The Journey
The Journey – We try to make sense of it as we move along it, particularly if we have felt like we didn’t choose the particular destination we are heading towards. Often the problem is that -in not choosing our original destination, we have allowed ourselves to get swept along by the winds of time.
Milestones
This week marked a milestone of sort and a few different things happened to remind and inspire me write an update. My results are out from my September scans and the news is good and upbeat – 20 to 40% improvement all-round from the last scans, Alleluia! So what am I doing? what has changed to bring about these good results?
That’s a good question and I can’t answer what specifically has contributed to what for my health, but I can and will share a few of the things that I feel are significant since April.
- I have continued the Joe Tippens protocol. What is now and different is that I now use two or three different sources of Fenbendozole to ensure that the product I am taking is what I believe it to be. There are stories out there of false product and I do believe that is possible and I also think that I may have inadvertently been taking some for a portion of time from October to April.
- A dear friend afforded me the ability to acquire a resonant light frequency generator – the Perl M + 2 generators. This has helped with my overall health and feeling better. (This was the video I saw initially about the machine and I purchased it here from Brian).
- I was lucky enough to spend a month on Wilmington Island outside of Savannah GA this June. The sunshine and removing myself from the bad habit of being indoors and working a lot was definitely a Boone for my health, with high doses of Vitamin D and virtually no stress.
- Lots and I mean many, many, many people have been praying for me.
- I have done a lot of inner work, getting to that nitty gritty hard to find, and even harder to reach place where all those stuck emotions are hanging out. Every now and then they are ripe for releasing and letting go.
- Lastly, I have found healing in all sorts of places. That is actually what got me around to thinking about “The Journey.”
Today as thoughts were rolling around in my head, the thought specifically about the “Healing Journey” and all that can mean was prominent. What I settled on was that it is not so much a journey of health as it is a journey of Spirit and a spiritual journey. If eating healthy and thinking healthy were enough, then it would be easy to find that perfect formula. So many times though I have found healing at the end of a road with grass growing up the middle of it (quite often actually). So much so, at times I think I have been on a crusade of sorts, finding treasures and meaning in the most random of places. I do believe I am searching for my own Holy Grail.
So what is The Holy Grail – The Holy Grail is a treasure that serves as an important motif in Arthurian literature. Different traditions describe it as a cup, dish or stone with miraculous powers that provides eternal youth or sustenance in infinite abundance, often in the custody of the Fisher King. Where did it come from? It is traditionally thought to be the cup that Jesus Christ drank from at the Last Supper and that Joseph of Arimathea used it to collect Jesus’s blood at his crucifixion. Legends hold that the Grail had the power to heal all wounds, deliver eternal youth and grant everlasting happiness. Other stories have the story – The Grail Legend (also known as the Grail Quest, Quest for the Holy Grail) originating in Ireland as folklore before appearing in written form sometime before 1056 CE in The Prophetic Ecstasy of the Phantom, an Irish tale.
So I go many places and check different modalities, some bring insight and clarity and others questions.
So what was it about the Holy Grail and the Fisher King that piqued my interest? In Arthurian Legends the Fisher King was the last in a long bloodline charged with handling the Holy Grail. All he is able to do is fish in a small boat on the river near his castle, and wait for some noble who might be able to heal him by asking a certain question. When I first heard that it was so very interesting to me, the idea that someone would be healed by asking a certain question…
In some early story lines, Percival, by asking the Fisher King the healing question cures the wound. The nature of the question differs between Perceval and Parzival, but the central theme is that the Fisher King can be healed only if Percival asks “the question.” What exactly was the question to be asked then? The question was “What is the grail? Whom does it serve?” and by asking these questions, a connection would be made between the injured and ailing king, his infertile land, and the power of the grail to heal and restore.
Where am I going with all of this anyway? I had three markers show up this week. That is three things happened this week which reminded me of the importance of sharing the story of healing: 1) my brother John mentioned in conversation, “I hope you are going to write a blog and update on the things that are helping you,” shortly after that; 2) a friend Kasey emailed and said -“There hasn’t been a blog entry since July and I hope that’s because you are busy” (sorry about that); and 3) my good friend James McCarron sent me that beautiful painting of the Majestic Lion who is “watching over Ailish Keating.” How wonderful is that? all three reminded me to share my story and I am so grateful for not only the reminders but the amount of people who care for me. The lion does remind me of the awesome Aslan from The Chronicles of Narnia, but that’s a story for another day.
Back to the Hold Grail though, and this last part I learned this morning while seeking some more information for the story. In the version of the tale originating in Ireland, there is the idea that the grail legend may have developed from Celtic shamanic rituals in which an initiate was required to pass certain tests to attain an elevated visionary state. The quest for the grail, then, would be a quest for the meaning of life, the nature of the divine, and symbolize one’s true purpose in living. Wow
